ORTHODONTIC FAQS

When Should A Child See An Orthodontist?

A first examination is appropriate when the front permanent teeth are coming in. This is normally at age 7. In some cases the severity of a problem can be reduced by an early phase of treatment. Full braces usually start when most of the adult teeth are visible, typically at age 12.

Am I Too Old For Orthodontic Treatment?

You are never too old to have treatment. With Invisalign and clear braces, more and more adult patients are seeking orthodontic treatment for better aesthetics and function. We are living longer, more active lives. A healthy chewing system is important to our quality of life and well being.

What is the cost of Invisalign/Braces?

Cost is based on the treatment plan and estimates are provided after initial consultation and examination. Flexible payment plans are available.

Does Insurance Pay For My Treatment?

It depends on your insurance plan. Many dental plans provide coverage for orthodontic treatment. Our staff will help you maximize your benefit.

How Long Does Treatment Take?

Treatment time varies. However, in most cases, early treatments last 6 to 15 months, comprehensive treatments last 12 to 24 months. A more specific time estimate can be provided after the treatment plan is developed.
